This is an update regarding our privacy policies and procedures.

We are committed to our customers’ rights to privacy. We promise to share transparently all aspects of how Temasys products and websites work in regards to privacy, terms, and personal data. All of these measures are geared toward providing our customers with the best possible services, while taking every measure to ensure the protection of our customers, and privacy of the users of applications built using Temasys services.

The following is a collection of information and resources we’ve put together to help answer questions you may have about your experience with Temasys. Most important, we are glad that you’ve taken an interest in this information and look forward to helping you understand how Temasys works.

Temasys and GDPR Compliance

The EU’s General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) take effect May 25, 2018. We believe we have always acted in the spirit of these regulations, and we are all for making the internet more safe and secure. With the implementation of the GDPR, we feel it’s prudent to go on record with more details about what data we do collect and how it is used, and how we work with our customers to ensure that their privacy, and the privacy of the end users of our services, is well-managed when it comes to Temasys.

When it comes to our “Service”, including the Temasys Skylink Platform, and the Temasys WebRTC Plugin, and all complimentary components, we’ve embraced privacy by design. Whenever possible, we do not collect and store personally identifiable information.

Furthermore,  we have always gone to great lengths to ensure that the data we do collect is accessible only to the people that need to it. This is true whether that information is considered public, personal, sensitive or private.

In all cases the information is most often used to directly manage your relationship with Temasys, to understand how you and end users access and use Temasys products, and to provide quality assurance and direction for enhancements to our services.

In the few instances where personally-identifiable information is required, this typically includes an email address, phone number, or social network profile data, which is used to manage your account.

Overall, we aim for privacy by default: If data collection is not integral to the way our product works, then we won’t collect it. This approach has felt very much in line with the spirit of GDPR, and we’re fortunate that a lot of these data collection practices have been in place at Temasys since our inception.

As we move forward, you may see a few alert banners or forms requesting consent for us to collect personally-identifiable information for tracking or other purposes. We will always be ready to explain why we collect this information and how it is used. You will always have the ability to request your information to be exported and sent to you for review, and we will promptly honor any requests by you to have your information deleted and forgotten.

Here is our progress so far on GDPR compliance:

Data Mapping

We have added a cookie notice to all marketing pages, blogs, and other media properties. While we do not collect personally-identifiable information with our cookies, we acknowledge that we use cookie technology on our websites.
